About Cambridge

Cambridge is a small city in the Province of Ontario, Canada. Cambridge has a population of approximately 124,000 and is located the Province of Ontario Canada, in the Waterloo area.  Cambridge’ economy  is mainly automotive.  Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada opened a large plant in Cambridge. Toyota is now Cambridge’s largest employer.  Cambridge is also home to factories such as Gerdeau Ameristeel, Frito-Lay, Northstar Aerospace, Rockwell Automation and Com Dev.

 

Until recently Cambridge had not been recognized for their post secondary education, however the University Of Waterloo School Of Architecture has moved to downtown Cambridge, and thus the population of Cambridge will increase with the large number of students moving into University. 

 

Cambridge is home include a variety of cultural events and activities such as the Mill Race Festival and Rock the Mill (both which are musical festivals and take place downtown Cambridge).  Cambridge has the Wings of Paradise butterfly conservatory and the Southworks Outlets district.
