Red Deer Facts: Red Deer is a city located in central Alberta, Canada. It is located near the midpoint of the Calgary-Edmonton corridor. The city was named for the 'Red Deer' looking deer (actually Mule and White Tail Deer) romantically misidentified by Scottish settlers.
